Hilary Duff is not backing down, the actress and singer alerted the FBI on Friday after nude photos, appearing to be Duff surfaced on the internet.

The graphic photos hit the web claiming to be the star and she immediately jumped on the offense. Duff reportedly forwarded the links to the FBI since she can prove that it’s not her in the photos. According to TMZ, Duff has very distinctive birthmarks and tattoos that don’t appear on the woman in the photo.
Duff is just the latest celebrity to be effected by the massive hacking scheme, even though the photos in question don’t appear to be of the star, other women have not been so lucky. Very personal photos of model Kate Upton and actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Winstead hit the internet earlier this week.
The photos ended on an online bulletin after their respective iClouds were hacked according to E! News. In total more than 100 celebrities have been effected by the leak, some claiming that the photos were authentic and others claiming not. In addition to the FBI investigating the case, tech giant Apple has taken at least partial blame for the leak and they have since launched their own investigation. According to E! News, they released a statement saying “When we learned of the theft, we were outraged and immediately mobilized Apple's engineers to discover the source. Our customers' privacy and security are of utmost importance to us."
