While promoting her new movie Interstellar, Anne Hathaway commented on her performance as Catwoman and said that she'd love to play the character again.

According to IGN, Hathaway said she wants to play Catwoman again and that she'd love to cameo as the character in any one of DC's upcoming films.

Hathaway played Catwoman in the most recent Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Christopher Nolan, who also directed Hathaway in Interstellar.

Hathaway also commented on the idea of a stand-alone Catwoman movie, saying that she'd be up for it, but that she isn't sure the character would be suited to her own film given how mysterious she is. "But I don't know - she is someone who...mystery serves her well so I don't know what a whole film would do," she said. "But who knows?"

Of course, this is just fun speculation, and Hathaway will probably not return as Catwoman. For one, she noted that she'd be up for returning if Christopher Nolan is involved, but the director said he probably won't make another superhero movie again.

It's possible Hathaway would still consider doing a cameo even without Nolan's involvement, but then that might be kind of confusing considering the upcoming slate of DC movies seemingly take place in a totally different universe than the Dark Knight movies. We have a new, older Batman, played by Ben Affleck, so why would we have the same, young Catwoman from The Dark Knight in the same movie universe?

Still, Hathaway was pretty great in The Dark Knight Rises, and it's hard not to get a little excited about the concept of a Catwoman movie. But even if it could happen, DC is pretty unbelievably busy right now, so who knows if they'd even have room for her?
