If you have always wanted to see legendary singer Barry Manilow on stage, next year will be the perfect time to do so because it will be your last chance. The “Mandy” singer announced today that he will be touring the U.S. and Canada one final time.
The tour, dubbed appropriately enough One Last Time!, will be in support of his new album, My Dream Duets. It features duets with deceased artists, including Whitney Houston, Judy Garland, Louis Armstrong, Marilyn Monroe and Andy Williams.
Manilow hasn’t done many public performances since 2011, when he wrapped up his Las Vegas residencies following over 400 concerts. He’s had to deal with illness and hip surgery in recent years, so now is a good time for the 71-year-old to retire from performing live.
The tour “is my way of thanking everyone for their years of support...one last time,” Manilow said in a statement.
Tickets go on sale on Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. for most shows, but American Express cardholders will get early access on Nov. 19. There will also be VIP packages available.
The tour starts on Feb. 11 at CenturyLink Center in Omaha and includes stops in Las VEgas, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia and Boston. Manilow’s final performance is scheduled for June 17 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
