One of the two preteens accused of stabbing their friend to pay homage to the fictitious Slender Man, was in court as an expert testified that she is competent to stand trial.

NBC News reported on Wednesday that an expert told the judge in the case that the 12-year-old suspect is competent to stand trial.

The information comes after a psychologist testified in August that girl claimed to see and hear things that others could not. The suspect was ordered to undergo treatment when she stated that she saw and talked to unicorns, Slender Man, and Voldemort.

The judge will rule next week whether or not to continue with the proceedings.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noted that in May, Morgan E. Geyser and Anissa E. Weier of Waukesha, allegedly plotted to kill their friend in order to become “proxies” of Slender Man.

Court Documents allege that after a sleepover, another preteen was lured into the woods by the two girls and stabbed 19 times. She was able to escape the attack by crawling to a path where a bicyclist found her.

Geyser and Weier were both charged with attempted murder. The victim has since recovered.
