Ed Sheeran had a milestone 2014 thanks to his second album, X, and the hit singles “Sing” and “Don’t.” Now, he can add another feather to his cap, as Spotify has called him the most-streamed artist of 2014.

Spotify said on Wednesday that Sheeran racked up 860 million individual listens. X was listened to at least 430 million times globally, Forbes notes.

The most-streamed song of the year was Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” which scored 260 million streams. USA Today notes that, within the U.S., the most-streamed song was “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea with 166 million listens.

Spotify reported that, after Sheeran, the other top male artists globally were Eminem, Calvin Harris, Avicii and David Guetta. Within the U.S., Eminem was the most-streamed artist.

Katy Perry was the top female artist, ahead of Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, Beyonce and Lorde.

“Take Me To Church” by Hozier was named the most viral U.S. track. The most-shared songs were “Gooey” by Glass Animals; “Reflections” by MisterWives; “Coffee” by Sylvan Esso and “Say You’ll Be There” by Mø.

Taylor Swift would probably be a top Spotify artist, if she didn’t pull her music.
