For the second time in as many weeks a bomb at a Shi’ite mosque in Pakistan has killed more than a dozen people.

Reuters reported that at least 19 people have died and around 40 were wounded in the blast that occurred Friday in city of Peshawar.
Pakistani authorities have said that the latest attack occurred during prayers when gunman barged into the mosque, opened fire and set off explosives.

The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility.

“Either Pakistan will become your graveyard, or God’s law, sharia, will be implemented,” Taliban commander Khaleefa Omar Mansoor said in a video.

The same group previously claimed responsibility for the school massacre in the same city back in December, in which a 150 people, mostly children, were killed.

The attack is similar to another that took place just two weeks ago at a Shi’ite mosque in the city of Shikarpur. As previously noted, that attack also happened during Friday prayers and a blast killed at least 49 people inside.
