The moment a new Star Wars movie was announced, rumors started flying. Of course, Disney and Lucasfilm probably aren’t too happy about that, but director/co-writer J.J. Abrams had to admit that some of the rumors are true.

Abrams was at the Irish Oscar Wilde Awards in Los Angeles, as Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher was there to receive an award. While there, Abrams spoke to The BBC about the new movie.

“There are a ton of rumours - some true, some false. But I'm grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie,” Abrams said. “I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself.”

Abrams didn’t go on to say anything further, obviously. He wasn’t going to say which rumors are true and which aren’t. Some of the latest rumors, suggest that one of the Original Trilogy characters is going to die, notes Cinemablend. At this point, if you read enough of the rumors, you could probably piece together the entire plot of the movie.

We won’t really know what rumors are true until Dec. 18, when The Force Awakens hits theaters.

The film will also feature Original Trilogy stars Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill, along with Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
