Madonna joined Jimmy Fallon and his house band, the Roots, for a version of “Holiday” involving classroom instruments.

The segment, which has been done with One Direction, Robin Thicke and Carly Rae Jepsen in the past, was the highlight of Thursday’s Tonight Show.

They were all dressed in tropical attire, such as Hawaiian shirts and sunglasses, and Madonna played the cowbell.

E! Online reports everyone joined in for the chorus but Madonna and Fallon alternated on the verses.

Also on the show, Madonna made her stand-up comedy debut. She called herself “kind of a closet comedian,” saying “sometimes I dream about simplicity” because she puts on such huge productions onstage.

She talked about dating younger men and her artwork during her short set. Find out how she did below.
