Conventions can be fun, but also a bit of a chore, since you spend half the time in line. Star Wars fans know all this too well and apparently, so does J.J. Abrams. The director of The Force Awakens made some fans’ experience a little better with some pizza.
Fans were lined up at the Anaheim Convention Center really early in the morning, since this year’s Star Wars Celebration kicks off with the Force Awakens panel today. Those who were in line really early got some pizza, courtesy of Abrams and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
SlashFilm was there that early and posted a clip on Instagram of staffers coming in with the pizza boxes. According to ABC News, one of the staffers tweeting a picture confirming who was behind the food supply drop.
If you aren’t in Anaheim, StarWars.com and Verizon are teaming up to stream many of the biggest events online. That includes today’s Force Awakens panel with Abrams and Kennedy. Everyone is hoping that they will show more footage from the film, as we haven’t seen anything since the 88 seconds that were released in November.
The Force Awakens opens on Dec. 18.
