We all recognize the famous bathroom symbols that tell us which door goes to the women’s room and which one goes toward the men’s room. Now, a company has created a design that shows the female symbol is not actually wearing a dress in an effort to empower women.
On their website, a tech company called Axosoft used the phrase “It was never a dress” and show the figure wearing a cape instead of the dress that we all have seen.
They invite people to help in getting rid of the perception that women are not represented in the world of technology, sciences, and mathematics and to recognize the work and statements they make everyday in moving forward in different fields.
Phoenix Business Journal reported the Curator of Code for Axosoft, Tania Katan, said “This lady, well, we’ve been looking at her the wrong way. We’re launching a campaign that shows you what’s really on the other side. It was never a dress.”
You can visit the website to sign up and be a part of dialogue surrounding the notion of giving women the empowerment they need to make advances in the technological and science fields.
