Did you send an e-mail that you wished you hadn’t sent and now it is too late? The most embarrassing e-mail either went to all of your co-workers instead of your boss or worse, your future in-laws instead of your wedding party. Yikes! Well now you can fix that with Google’s undo send feature!
According to a blog post from Google, they are now adding the option to cancel sending an e-mail. Before, it had been in the public beta stage in Gmail Labs, but now it has been added to the inboxes for all Gmail users.
At the moment, the feature’s default setting is on off for users who do not use the Labs version in Gmail. However, you can turn it on by going to Settings and finding the General tab. You can also select how long you have to cancel the e-mail after it was sent.
The New York Times reported that the time delay for using the tool is between 5 to 30 seconds.
