Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker officially announced that he is running for the president. He’s the 15th Republican to jump into the race to get on the national ballot in November 2016.

Walker launched his campaign with a Facebook video touting his work in Wisconsin. He also vows to run without sacrificing his principles.

“I am running for president to fight and win for the American people,” Walker said. “Without sacrificing our principles, we won three elections in four years in a blue state. We did it by leading.”

Even though Walker is just entering the race, he’s already a well-known candidate, especially among conservatives. He gained national attention when his attempts to fight unions in Wisconsin lead to a recall election, which he ended up winning.

In addition, ABC News notes that he is polling well in Iowa, which holds the first caucus on Feb. 1. A Quinnipiac poll showed that 18 percent of Iowa Republican voters support him. That was ahead of the 10 percent supporting Donald Trump.

Other candidates running for the Republican nomination include former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

I'm in. I'm running for President of the United States because Americans deserve a leader who will fight and win for them. SHARE if you stand with me. Support at ScottWalker.com! -SW
