Way too much too soon, and too much drama. Those appear to be the reasons for Nicki Minaj allegedly breaking it off with Meek Mill on July 30th.
One of the “Anaconda” rapper’s closest friends came forward to MediaTakeOut.com to allege the two amicably split up. In the exclusive July 31st report, the source said, "It's complicated. I think they took their relationship too far, too fast."
The two supposedly ended on good terms and plan to finish out The Pinkprint Tour together. Minaj’s global excursion in support of her third full-length album began in March 2015 and wraps up in August. Meek Mill is listed as a supporting act for the North American leg.
Yet, there appears to be something more going on. A second source came forward to HollywoodLife.com to say the split centers around Meek Mill’s beef with Drake, which, in turn, created more drama for Minaj. The source explained, “To Nicki, it looked like Meek chose the beef over their relationship and it didn’t do any favors for Meek.”
The recent conflict goes back to July 21st, when the Philly-born rapper accused Drizzy of using a ghostwriter on their collaboration “R.I.C.O.” Drake swiftly responded with diss track “Charged Up” and then followed it up
Meek Mill retorted with “Wanna Know” on July 30th.
The two have yet to confirm the rumors. A video from their July 31st performance, shared by @NickiDaily on Twitter, shows Minaj licking Mill during the show:
