Following the scary drive-by shooting rapper Rick Ross was involved in, fellow rapper 50 Cent has come forward to state that the whole incident was completely made up.
As we previously reported, Ross and his girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-el were in Fort Lauderdale, Florida celebrating his birthday when a car reportedly drove up next to him and began shooting. Ross sped off out of fear and crashed his Rolls Royce into a building.
Despite confirmations of “several calls” being made to police after hearing shots, 50 Cent is not believing any part of the story.
According to Hollywood Life, 50 Cent, a rival of Ross, has taken to Twitter to slam the story.
“Hahaha fat boy hit the building?lol it looks staged to me. No hole's in da car,” he tweeted attaching a photo of the damaged vehicle.
He later added contesting reports of the shooting saying, “Nah they shot in the air then he drove into a building.”
Additionally, Hollywood Life notes that “Freeway” Ricky Ross, who claims the rapper stole his identity, also chimed in on the reports telling HipHopDX, “I’m not surprised that it happened given recent ongoings, when someone doesn’t understand the street rules they get confused and incidents like this can take place. I’m still dealing with ongoing litigation about something as basic as using my name and identity, that should have been dealt with properly a long time ago. No ill will is wished upon anyone, but when you tell these stories about the streets you have to be careful.”
Police are still uncertain who allegedly shot at the vehicle.
