Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have one of the biggest broods in Hollywood with six children but in a new interview, Pitt revealed they were shooting for double that.
Pitt and Jolie have three biological children; Shiloh, 9, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 7, as well as three adopted children; Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, and Zahara, 10. Jolie can no longer conceive children after removing her ovaries and Fallopian tubes.
“Everyone talks about the joy of having kids – blah, blah, blah,” he told The Telegraph. “But I never knew how much I could love something until I looked in the faces of my children.”
He went on to admit they were “aiming for a dozen” but “crapped out after six.” Their family has “a lot of love, a lot of fighting, a lot of refereeing,” he explained, “a lot of teeth-brushing and spilling… Chaos, total chaos. But so much fun.”
Pitt, who said he’s always known he wanted a big family, remembers his father as “very, very tough” and admits he’s the disciplinarian with his sons.
“I am with the boys,” he said. “Girls do no wrong so I don’t have to be.”
