Bill Murray will be teaming up with long-time friend Wes Anderson yet again.
While attending the Marrakech International Film Festival to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, Murray announced in a press conference that he’s set to work with Anderson on his latest project, a stop-motion animated movie about dogs, notes Indiewire.
Murray is the latest big star to join the project, as the likes of Jeff Goldblum, Bob Balaban and Edward Norton has been confirmed to have a part. Also involved in the film is Bryan Cranston.
“I'm playing a dog. He's doing another, like a stop motion animated kind of comedy sort of like Fantastic Mr. Fox,” Murray said.
Little is known about the upcoming film, including its title and plot. Murray did his part to keep the film under wraps, but did add, “And it's a Japanese story and I'm playing a dog. I'm very excited.”
Goldblum has also previously mentioned that the film would be Japanese influenced, according to The Independent.
Murray is known for being notoriously selective in choosing his work, but has had a long history of working with Anderson, having previously appeared in every film directed by Anderson, save for Bottle Rush.
Murray’s latest work, A Very Murray Christmas, was just released on Netflix. He is the voice of Baloo in the upcoming 2016 adaptation of The Jungle Book.
No word has been released on how far along production Anderson’s Japanese influenced animated dog film is, or when it might hit the theaters.
