Pamela Anderson has scored the cover for Playboy’s last issue with nudity.
The cover was unveiled by Entertainment Tonight and shows her wearing nothing but a necklace with the word “SEX” on it. In an interview with ET, Anderson explained how she got the cover.
“I got a call from [Hugh Hefner's] attorney who said, 'We don't want anybody else. There's nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy?'” Anderson said. She didn’t think they were serious and she was also concerned about what her two sons would say. She asked Brandon, 19, about it and he approved.
“I said, 'Hef just called, he wants me to do the last cover of Playboy,' and he goes, 'Mom you've got to do it,'” the former Baywatch star, 48, said. She recalled that Brandon told her, “We're older, we're not embarrassed anymore of you. You know, we think you're great.”
Anderson didn’t think Hefner would ask her to do Playboy’s last nude photo shoot, but once Ellen Von Unwerth started taking photos, she really got into it. In addition to those photos, she also did an interview with James Franco for the magazine.
Hefner surprisingly announced in October that Playboy will no longer include nude photos of women, beginning with the Match 2016 issue. Anderson’s issue will be out on Dec. 11.
