‘Star Trek Beyond’ trailer has Enterprise crew in trouble again (Video)

The first trailer for Star Trek Beyond is here, just days before it is expected to play in theaters with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

With Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6, Furious Five) taking over the reigns from producer J.J. Abrams, Star Trek Beyond looks like another action-filled Trek adventure. The Enterprise has crash-landed on a mysterious planet and the crew has to survive attack after attack, while also making jokes about how bad their situation is.

It has been rumored that we will see this trailer before The Force Awakens, starting Thursday night. The film doesn’t open until July 22 and will be part of Paramount’s celebration of the franchise’s 50th anniversary.

Star Trek Beyond stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Zoe Saldana. Idris Elba is playing the villain.
