Duck Dynasty star Rebecca Lo Robertson, who is Korie and Willie Robertson’s foster daughter, is engaged to fiancé John Reed Loflin.

Loflin proposed on a beach in Florida, where the couple was “treasure hunting” for shells on New Year’s Eve on Thursday.

She shared photos of the engagement on Instagram, including one with the words “2016 Our Story Starts Here” written in the sand.

Loflin hid the ring in a shell, which prompted Robertson to caption one of the photos, “After long time of patiently searching, I found the ultimate gem // Jeremiah 29:11.”

Robertson told Us Weekly of the proposal, “I was determined to find the best shell that day. We had been walking searching for about an hour, and I saw this beautiful swirly shell hidden in the sand, and the ring was also hiding in there, and he got on his one knee as I pulled the ring out, and he said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?’”

The newly-engaged couple met last year during Halloween, when they both attended Voodoo Fest in New Orleans.

“I had no idea!” she said of being surprised. “Apparently all my friends and family knew but everyone did a really good job hiding it from me; they have got some really good acting skills!”
