While there are several reasons for The Beatles’ break-up, Yoko Ono is more often blamed for it than not. The widow of John Lennon stressed in a new interview this week that she did not break-up the group.

In a list of 25 interesting facts for Us Weekly, the 83-year-old Ono said the break-up in 1970 was not her fault.

“I had nothing to do with breaking up the Beatles. And I think Paul [McCartney] is a pretty cool dude,” Ono said.

In recent years, the temperature between Paul McCartney and Ono has cooled. In 2013, McCartney told Rolling Stone that Ono is a “badass” and that he let go of his “grudge” against her. Ono said she was “thankful” for McCartney’s decision.

Also in the interview, Ono said that she likes The Beatles (or “The White Album”) more than Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and that she always thinks about Lennon, who was killed in 1980.

“Maybe people already know this, but I miss John every day,” Ono told Us Weekly.
