Late night talk show hosts James Corden, Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah all paid tribute to music icon Prince on their respective programs after he passed away on April 21.
Corden explained that his show was already shot prior to learning of the legend’s death, so he decided to film a segment before the taping of his show aired to say a few words about the musical genius that was Prince.
The Late Late Show host concluded by quoting Prince saying "Sometimes in Snows in April. Sometimes I wish life was never-ending, but all good things they say, never last."
Colbert talked about the late artist’s passing during his opening monologue by asking band leader Jon Batiste to share a story about him and then changed the color of The Late Show's set to purple in his honor.
Over on The Daily Show, host Trevor Noah also paid tribute to Prince.
"Today, as you all know, we lost more than just a man,” Noah said. “We lost an icon. We lost a leader. We lost in many aspects a genre in itself. Prince, we'll always remember. We will always love you. Your music changed our lives and I think it will continue to do that."
The show ended with footage of Prince on MTV's Unplugged.
