The ‘90s was a time for incredibly cheesy choreographed dances such as the one done by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Vanilla Ice in the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. Alas it was during this epic dance battle that the friendship with the turtles and the rapper was formed.
Now, 25 years later Vanilla Ice proves he’s still got it, performing “Ninja Rap” with his turtle friends onstage at the premiere for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
That's right, Vanilla Ice surprised the crowd coming out of the back of the theater along with the original turtles from the first three films in full prosthetic costumes.
Adults at the premiere appeared to be excited, laughing and pulling out their phones to catch the rapper walking by them on video. Children, however, looked extremely frightened and slightly confused.
In case you were wondering, Vanilla Ice and the turtles were still in touch long before this performance. The friends actually perform together regularly and the turtles have made several appearances on the I Love The ‘90s Tour.
