Are you a cat lover? The Crazy Cat Lady box is a monthly subscription service for women who are passionate about cats. The company offers two boxes – one with items just for you and another with items for both you and your cat. I chose to share my box with my mini-panther (in her mind, anyway), Persephone. The Crazy Cat Lady box sends three items for you and two for your kitty. Goodies for you can include T-shirts, totes, mugs, pillow cases, etc. Your pet gets toys, scratchers, treats and other rewards. Every month has a new theme. This month’s theme was Another Day in Purradise. Cute, right?
Everything was shipped in the box you see at the top of this review. The box was covered with their company logo and was packed with tissue paper to keep my new belongings safe. I had no issues whatsoever with shipping.
As soon as I opened the box, Persephone stuffed her head in and started digging for toys. So that’s what I pulled out first. One was a refillable catnip beach ball by Imperial Cat. The other was a palm tree catnip toy by Loopies. Their values were listed as $4.99 and $5.99 respectively.
Persephone likes the palm tree. She loves to lick and chew it. It’s a very high-quality item for the price and I can see it lasting a long time.
The beach ball was her favorite of the two toys. She literally kicked the stuffing out of it. The material was weak. After only a day, I had to sew it back together and re-stuff it. Not impressive, but she loves it so much. I’m willing to stitch it up and make it look like a Franken-ball if it makes her happy.
The first two items for me in the box were a Shady Cat beach towel and a silver cat clip bookmark set. The beach towel is a little thin, but very cute. It features a cat wearing sunglasses and the Cat Lady Box logo. The bookmark package tells you to use them “Just in case your actual cat doesn’t sit on the page to hold your spot.” Adorable and as an avid book reader, I always appreciate new book marks.
The last two goodies in the box were a tank top reading, “Just Another Day in Purradise,” and a tropical flavored Cat Lady lip balm. The tank is soft and comfortable – ideal for hot summer days. They have a wide range of shirt sizes to choose from when you sign up, too. The lip balm is a little gritty. It will be a backup balm instead of one I reach for on a daily basis.
Even with a couple of misses (the weak ball toy and the gritty lip balm), this is a fun box and I’m going to continue my subscription. It was entertaining to watch Persephone get excited when I carried it in and I loved most of the items it contained. If you want to try it out for yourself, click here.
