Michael Bublé has canceled his upcoming performance on the BBC Music Awards following his 3-year-old son's cancer diagnosis.
The Canadian artist was set to take the stage during the Dec. 12 event but has informed show organizers that he is opting out to care for his son, Noah, as he undergoes several months of chemotherapy.
"We send Michael and his family our very best wishes," said BBC Music director Bob Shennan.
Bublé is also scheduled to host the Brit Awards in February and emcee the Juno Awards next April in Ottawa, however, no final decision from the singer on either one of those engagements have been made at this time.
As we reported, Bublé and his wife, Luisana, announced last Friday that Noah had been diagnosed with liver cancer. The couple said that they would be putting their careers on hold while they care for their little boy. The New York Daily News noted that Noah has already started his treatments which are expected to last the next four months.
