Looks like the SUR gang is in for another wild summer, because Vanderpump Rules was just renewed for its sixth season!
The Bravo reality spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was renewed by the network after finishing airing its three-part reunion special last week. The show follows the staff of Housewife Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant, SUR, in West Hollywood. The Andy Cohen-produced series has been one of Bravo's top performers since its debut in 2013 and launched the cast into becoming household names.
A lot has changed since season one. Only four of the original six SUR-vers still work at the restaurant, and only one of the original couples remains together. Stassi Schroeder quit SUR after season two when she found out her ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor, had slept with her best friend, Kristen Doute. Speaking of Doute, she was fired from SUR by Vanderpump herself in season three, after a downward spiral following her breakup from Tom Sandoval. While Schroeder and Taylor obviously parted ways, season five ended with the nuptials of the only original pairing left, Katie Maloney Schwartz and Tom Schwartz.
While VPR is never short on drama, season six is sure to be one of the most dramatic yet following the divorce of star Scheana Marie and Mike Shay, a developing feud between Marie and Schroeder, and an pending business deal between Vanderpump, Sandoval and Schwartz, this season looks to SURprise!
