Whether you loved it or hated it, Starbucks' limited time colorful and sweet tasting Unicorn Frappuccino led to a social media craze and now to a lawsuit.

From April 19 until April 23, customers flocked to Starbucks to get a taste of this unique drink. The drink seemed to be a wild success until The End, a New York City cafe, hit Starbucks with a trademark infringement suit.

According to People.com, The End is asking for $10 million from Starbucks for ripping off their Unicorn Latte. This almost identical drink was launched in December 2016, four months before Starbucks released their frappuccino.

Visually, the drinks look almost exactly the same. Neither Unicorn drink contains coffee, however, The End claims in their court papers that their drink contains all natural flavorings, while Starbucks' drink is a "concoction of milk, artificial sweeteners, color additives and pinches of fruit juice concentrate for flavor.”

The End believes that Starbucks' drink overshadowed theirs. The New York Post noted that the lawsuit alleges “the size of and scope of Starbucks’ product launch was designed so that the Unicorn Frappuccino would eclipse the Unicorn Latte in the market, thereby harming [The End] and confusing their customers.”

Starbucks representative, Reggie Borges, stated that those claims are without merit.
