Country singer Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren, may have one bundle of joy on the way, but that didn't stop them from adopting another daughter, Willa Gray Atkins.
The couple shared the news on social media on Friday, May 12 with a family photo.
“Meet Willa Gray Akins! I can't believe our daughter is finally home ????????,” Thomas tweeted. “Thank you to everyone who prayed every single day for this sweet girl.”
The year-long decision to adopt the child from Uganda came after Lauren assisted the charity, 147 Million Orphans.

On welcoming their daughter home, the “Craving You” singer equates the day to Christmas.
“It felt like a dream,” the proud mom told People. “I’ve dreamed of us all being on the same continent for so long. It finally feels like everyone is where they’re supposed to be.”
When she learned that she was pregnant, the process of the adoption wasn't easy, as she had to make several trips back and forth to Uganda for Willa Gray.
Closing in on her third trimester, Lauren had to return from Uganda in order to have a pregnancy check-up.
“I probably could have pushed it, but I just didn’t want to think something could go wrong with my pregnancy,” Lauren recalls. “It felt weird leaving one daughter and making sure the other one is okay. But I couldn’t do it another way.”
The ACM Male Vocalist of the Year also had to adjust to parenting quickly. “It is very weird to be called ‘Dad’ by a little human being,” he says “But it is one of the coolest feelings in the world. Nothing beats that.”
The couple is due to welcome another daughter this August.
