Fall television is almost back, but some of our favorite characters will not be returning.
Whether it's a cast member who wants to leave, one who has been written out or an entire cast that's been flipped upside down, there are going to be a lot of missing faces on TV this season.
Some we will miss, some we won't and others we didn't even have time to get to know.
Here's who you won't see on television this fall:
Isaiah Washington is leaving The 100.
SNL is losing cast members Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer and Sasheer Zamata for Season 43.
Over on The Blacklist, Enrique Murciano will not return as Julian Gale in Season 5.
The happy family of Once Upon A Time is no longer. Leaving the show as it enters it's 7th season are original cast members Jennifer Morrison (Emma), Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White) and Josh Dallas (Charming) and Jared Gilmore (Henry). In addition, cast members Emilie de Ravin (Belle) and Rebecca Mader (Zelena) will also not be returning in regular roles, although Emilie is confirmed for a spot in episode 4.
The Taken cast is going through a similar upheaval with season 1 alums Gaius Charles (John), Brooklyn Sudano (Asha), Monique Gabriela Curnen (Vlasik), Michael Irby (Scott), Jose Pablo Cantillo (Dave) and James Landry Hébert (Rem) not coming back for Season 2.
Quantico sees off original cast member Yasmine Al Massri who portrayed twins Nimah and Raina. Series regular Pearl Thusi will also not be returning.
Riverdale is getting an actor swap. Ross Butler is working on 13 Reasons Why, so Charles Melton (American Horror Story: Hotel) is taking over the recurring role of Reggie.
Chicago P.D. said goodbye to regular Sophia Bush, as Detective Erin Lindsay. The only good news we have for the Chicago Series is that since Chicago Justice was cancelled, Jon Seda will return as Antonio Dawson. Maybe now he can get together with Brett!
Virginia Madsen will not be returning for Designated Survivor, as Kimble Hookstraten. However, NCIS: New Orleans' loss of Zoe McLellan benefits the show as she joins the cast playing White House counsel Kendra Daynes.
Speaking of NCIS, Jennifer Esposito will not be returning for Season 15, as Special Agent Alex Quinn.
To her fan's dismay, Indian-American actress Melanie Chandra will not be returning for Season 3 of Code Black as resident Malaya Pineda.
Harry Potter alum Tom Felton will not return as a series regular for Season 4 of The Flash.
Supernatural regular Mark Sheppard will not be returning as Crowley.
Season 12's Damon Gupton will not be returning for another round of Criminal Minds as Supervisory Special Agent Stephen Walker. The good news is that while fans didn't tune into Beyond Borders, Daniel Henney will continue to play his character Special Agent Matt Simmons over on Criminal Minds.
Jerrika Hinton will not be returning for Season 14 of Grey's Anatomy as Stephanie. In addition, residency director Eliza Minnick, played by Marika Dominczyk will not be back either. (Oh, well.) But back for another round is Matthew Morrison, Jo's abusive husband. His Glee charm offers the perfect foil for this role.
Erinn Hayes will not be returning for Season 2 of Kevin Can Wait, as Kevin’s wife Donna. Interesting, Leah Remeni, who played James' wife in King of Queens is returning to the show.
CBS is getting major whitewashing criticism for not meeting salary demands of Hawaii 5-0 cast members Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, citing they are not "main" characters. Most of us disagree. Both actors opted to leave the show. This is very different than how Big Bang Theory's actors handled their pay issues, where each took a pay cut for their co-workers to get a raise.
