From college student to prolific YouTuber, Lilly Singh has had her fair share of success.
Lilly Singh is a Canadian YouTuber nominated for Creator of the Decade at this year’s Shorty Awards. She is known for her channels IISuperwomanII and Superwomanvlogs. Lily is also an author of the book How to Be a Bawse.
On her YouTube channels, you can find her comedy sketches, raps and skits that riff off of ethnic and gender stereotypes as well as monologues and behind the scenes vlogs.
Singh has more than 2 billion views on her channel and has more than 12 million subscribers on IISuperwomanII. Her second channel Superwomanvlogs has more than 2.2 million subscribers.
Lilly Singh grew up in Scarborough, Toronto, Canada and was described as very extroverted.
Singh started posting videos on YouTube in 2010 when she was still a student at York University. She started posting them because she was battling depression over not wanting a conventional career that her parents wanted for her. Her first video only had 70 views, but look where she is today!

After she was done with her studies at York University, Singh asked her parents if she could put her Masters on hold for a year. Since that year, Singh has never looked back and her viewers would never want her to!
In 2015, she moved out to Los Angeles, California, where she currently lives and is furthering her career as an inventive YouTuber.
