Thanos demands your silence.

The directors for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War have released a letter via Twitter urging fans to keep secrets under wraps in the coming months.

As the April 27 release date for the movie reaches closer and closer, the Russo brothers hope that all fans can experience Thanos challenging the Marvel universe on the same level.

"We're asking that when you see Infinity War, in the coming months, that you maintain the same level of secrecy so that all fans can have an equal experience when they watch it for the first time. Don't spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn't want it spoiled for you," they said.

They included a small but important piece of information as well: "Only a handful of people know the films' true plot."

It looks like the Russos are pulling a big "Darth Vader is Luke's father" type twist for Infinity War. If you don't know, back when Star Wars Episode V was in production, the majority of the crew was unaware that Vader would reveal himself as Luke's true father. Mark Hamill, who played Luke, was only told moments before he shot the scene.

If most of the crew for the next Avengers movie don't even know the full plot, the general audience is sure to be in for a surprise. A surprise that might even be more than just a character death, as many fans have been speculating that Captain America or Iron Man will bite the dust.

Whatever happens to the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Infinity War hits, it's sure to set the scene for the eventual untitled Avengers 4. While it was originally thought to be two parts of the same story, Avengers 4 will actually be pretty different. Writer Stephen McFeely says it will be a "different genre" to Infinity War.

Brie Larson's Captain Marvel is also sure to play a big role in the events that unfold since the release will fall between the two big team up films. Perhaps her film will revolve around the yet-to-be-seen Soul Stone, which Thanos needs to complete the gauntlet.

Whatever they decide to do, I know the Russos will be pulling on some heartstrings. Perhaps fans will have to say farewell to Chris Evans or Robert Downey Jr., but I have a feeling they'll at least make it to Avengers 4.
