Emma Stone has been linked to far too many projects lately and she’s finally starting to whittle down the list to what would be physically possible for the star to do. The latest project she’s left is Crimson Peak, a horror film from Guillermo Del Toro.

Stone, who is currently working on The Amazing Spider-Man 2, was set to co-star with Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch and Charlie Hunnam in Crimson Peak.

The Wrap confirmed that Stone left the film in May because of her packed schedule. The site notes that Alice In Wonderland star Mia Wasikowska is the top pick to replace Stone. She would play Edith Cushing, an author who finds out that her husband isn’t what he seems to be.

Stone still has a full plate ahead of her. She’s signed on to star in Woody Allen’s 2014 project with Colin Firth and a Cameron Crowe comedy with Bradley Cooper and Rachel McAdams. She was even linked to a Broadway revival of Cabaret, but The New York Times confirmed last week that she won’t be able to do that.

As for Wasikowska, she just stared in Stoker and Only Lovers Left Alive. Among her future projects is David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars.
