The first trailer for Kill Your Darlings has hit the web. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and is being screened at Venice. It features performances from Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan and Michael C. Hall.

Kill Your Darlings is being distributed by Sony Pictures Classics and is the first film from John Krokidas. It tells the story of a murder that brings together Allen Ginsberg (Radcliffe), Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William Burroughs (Ben Foster), the founding members of the Beat Generation. Other members of the cast include Elizabeth Olsen, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kyra Sedgwick.

According to TheWrap, SPC is releasing the film on Oct. 18.

After the Sundance Film Festival, Radcliffe talked about the audience being shocked by gay sex scenes in the film.

“What weirded me out the most last night was people were asking me all these questions about the gay sex scenes. I was like, 'You know I did Equus?” he told MTV News at the time. “Some people are asking me questions like this is a more shocking subject, which is so strange.”
