Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will be in a Fall River, Massachusetts courtroom on Friday to be arraigned on charges of murder. There is also a report that police have video of Hernandez with two men who were killed in a Boston nightclub shooting in 2012.
Hernandez is being held at the Bristol County jail. In June, he was arrested in connection with the June 17 murder of Odin Lloyd in North Attleborough. He was charged with first-degree murder and five weapons charges and put in his not guilty plea in Attleboro District Court.
According to Boston.com, Hernandez’s case is moving to Superiror Court on Friday, as Bristol District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter will have to convince the judge that Hernandez should be held without bail.
Hernandez will be defended by Boston attorney Michael Fee, who asked for bail in Attleboro District Court. He did not comment on their plans for Friday’s arraignment. Boston.com notes that Friday will mark the next part of the case as it gets closer to trial.
Meanwhile, The Hartford Courant reports that police have video of Hernandez at a club with Daniel Abreu, 29, and Safiro Furtado, 28, two men who were shot and killed on July 26, 2012. During the Odin Lloyd investigation, police did search a Bristol, Connecticut home, where they discovered a vehicle roughly matching a description of one that fled the scene of the 2012 shooting.
The Courant’s sources say that the video shows Hernandez at the same Boston club where the victims were before they were killed.
Two others, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace, were also indicted in connection with the Lloyd case.
