Electronic dance music superstars, Daft Punk, were seen without their signature masks while at LAX.

According to TMZ, the dance duo were obviously forced to remove their helmets for the flight. Instead the French DJ’s sported sweatshirts and baseball caps looking surprisingly normal.

The masterminds behind the group are France natives, Guy-Manuel de Homeme-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.

The revelation of the average humans behind the robot helmets comes only days after the 56th Grammy Awards in which Daft Punk took home four awards and played a stellar performance with Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder.

At the award show, the pair also showed off their styles on the red carpet wearing sharp black suits and their helmets. They also disclosed a pair of new helmets during their performance while wearing sharp, white suits.

In an interview last year with RollingStone, Bangalter said, “We’re interested in the line between fiction and reality, creating these fictional personas that exist in real life.”
