The Arctic Monkeys covered the Fab Four's "All My Loving" last night in a performance at Madison Square Garden.
Monkeys frontman Alex Turner said "so apparently almost to the day, I believe, it's 50 years since Ed Sullivan first brought the Beatles to the United States," before beginning the encore with a slower version of the song that the Beatles performed on The Ed Sullivan Show all those years ago.
The Arctic Monkeys recently hit the Billboard number one spot for the first time with the single "Do I Wanna Know?" off of their 2013 album AM.
Turner added that "Apparently one in three Americans actually watched that performance, so if we're lucky one or three Americans might watch this YouTube video."

Rolling Stone notes that the group has performed Beatles covers before, notably at the London 2012 Olympics when they played "Come Together" at the opening ceremony.
The performance is one of many salutes to the Beatles this weekend, including a concert taking place tonight that will air on CBS.
