At 72, director Martin Scorsese is busier than ever. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker has a number of projects he's working on or has in the works, and he just added another if Jamie Foxx is to be believed: a Mike Tyson biopic.

While rumbles that Scorsese would make the biopic first came up in July from Tyson himself, Foxx told Power 105's The Breakfast Club, via Uproxx, the Raging Bull director will make his upcoming movie.

“I just went in with Paramount with Mike Tyson. So I’m going to do the Mike Tyson story," Foxx said. "isten, to be in the same room pitching Mike Tyson to Paramount, Mike Tyson is on one side, I’m on the other side and doing Mike Tyson at the same time. And Martin Scorsese at the helm. This will be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done since Raging Bull.”

Considering how many film fans believe Raging Bull is Scorsese's best, the prospect of the filmmaker getting back in the ring, literally, is certainly titillating. With a screenplay from Terence Winter, this new movie would also reunite the director with the writer behind The Wolf of Wall Street and the creator of Boardwalk Empire, which Scorsese executive produced and directed the pilot for. He also directed the pilot for Winter's upcoming, untitled rock 'n' rock pilot.

To become a younger Tyson, word has it the filmmakers will use age-reversal technology used in the opposite effect in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to make Foxx look appropriate for the part. Whether or not that's the case is not known, as this untitled film is still very early in development, especially if Scorsese directs.

In addition to his Leonardo DiCaprio/Robert De Niro-starring short film The Audition, set to be released this summer, he currently is in the midst of filming his next feature Silence, starring Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver. He also is tapped to works on the show Cortes, starring Benicio Del Toro, and a show version of his 2010 film Shutter Island.

Oh yeah, and Mark Wahlberg wants him to make a Boardwalk Empire movie.
