Paul McCartney honors John Lennon while marching in the March For Our Lives.
On March 24, millions of people gathered across the U.S. for the March For Our Lives, a march organized by the survivors of the Parkland shooting in an effort to end gun violence.
Among the marchers in New York City was the ex-frontman of The Beatles, Paul McCartney.
Sporting a shirt with the words "we can end gun violence" written across it, McCartney explained what he was marching for in a short interview with CNN, saying he was there "just to support the people."
When asked if we can end gun violence, McCartney responded:
"I don't know but this is what we can do, so I'm here to do it."
"One of my best friends was killed in gun violence right around here," the musician said. "So it's important to me."
37 years ago, fellow Beatles member John Lennon was killed by gunshot in Strawberry Fields.
