Deadpool 2 is just a couple weeks away, and at this point the excitement is through the roof (at least mine is). We already know that the film will introduce the X-Force and that they will later be getting their own spin-off movie — but T.J. Miller won’t be anywhere near it.

Miller, who is still appearing in Deadpool 2, was accused of sexual assault last fall. He was then arrested for calling false bomb threat on a train last month, which he could face prison time for if convicted.

Meaning, Miller has been more than problematic in the past couple of months and it’s completely understandable why the franchise would want to depart from him. Honestly, it’s a little surprising that he wasn’t cut out of Deadpool 2 altogether.

This is all according to Ryan Reynolds himself, who told The New York Times about Miller’s departure but didn’t offer any further comments on the matter.

Speaking of Ryan Reynolds, he also recently touched on the future of Deadpool and whether or not there would be a third film in the franchise. Given that the X-Force movie is coming next, it makes sense that the studio would want to wait and see what fans want more of.

That’s under the assumption that Disney doesn’t buy out Fox in the next couple of months, because who knows what the future of Deadpool would be then.

Last year, Miller left HBO’s Silicon Valley after four seasons. He can most recently be seen in Spielberg’s Ready Player One, lending his voice to the character of I-R0k.

He’s also set to star in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and a movie about underground earthquakes called Underwater.

What do you think of the news? Did Fox make the right decision to take T.J. Miller out of the franchise? Let us know in the comments below!
