Sin City fans will have to wait over a year longer than expected to see Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. The sequel has been pushed from October 2013 all the way to August 2014.

A Dame To Kill For was officially announced in May 2012, with Oct. 4, 2013 as the release date. However, the Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that the long awaited sequel to Sin Citywill now come out on Aug. 22, 2014. At that point, it will be over ten years since the first film hit theaters in 2005. That film grossed $158.7 million worldwide.

A Dame to Kill For is again going to be co-directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, who created the original comic book series. Dimension Films, which is run by The Weinstein Company, is producing.

Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Bruce Willis are all returning, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Meloni, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple and Josh Brolin are all joining the cast.

During an interview with MTV at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Rodriguez said that a few actors had already completed work on the film. “There are some characters from the book [in the mix]. Fans will be surprised,” he teased.

Rodriguez’s Machete Kills is still hitting theaters on Sept. 13.
