Amanda Seyfried will reunite with her Les Miserables co-star Hugh Jackman in Pan, the Peter Pan film in development at Warner Bros. The movie is being directed by Anna Karenina’s Joe Wright.

Seyfried is the latest major star to join the film. According to Variety, the Lovelace actor will play Mary in the film.

It’s important for Warner Bros. to stack the cast with as many stars as possible, since the title role is going to a newcomer. Levi Miller was cast to play Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up and went to Neverland.

Jackman has been cast as the pirate Blackbeard. Garrett Hedlund will star as Captain Hook, while Rooney Mara is Tiger Lily. Jack Charles, Taejoo Na, Nonso Anozie, Kathy Burke, Kurt Egyiawan, Lewis MacDougall and Leni Zieglmeier will also be in the film.

Jason Fuchs wrote the script and Greg Berlanti, Paul Webster and Sarah Schechter are producing. The plot is structured as an origin tale for the J.M. Barrie story, detailing how Peter ended up saving Neverland from pirates.

The film is currently scheduled for release on June 26, 2015, so production has already started.

Seyfried’s next film is A Million Ways To Die In The West with Seth MacFarlane.
