Women it's okay to envy

While women chefs are still rather rare, women in food TV, whether it is on the Food Network, Cooking Channel, streaming or on other networks, have a vivid presence.

Some are trained chefs, others are home cooks, plus there are plenty of food writers or bloggers, and there are even some hosts who are simply skilled at talking about food.

Each of these fascinating women has their own unique culinary point of view and they are all fun to watch. In fact, even though the first person on our list can be polarizing, she has a huge following and people who don't like her actively enjoy disliking her.

Food TV is typically a purely positive viewing experience.  Even with challenge shows like Chopped or Cutthroat Kitchen, you are still seeing people battle it out making usually yummy dishes.

Seeing someone make delicious food, or even visiting places where it is made, is pure joy.  It is the pinnacle of food porn.
